With our combined years of experiencein the custom woodworking field we consider ourselves craftsmen, manufacturers and some call us artists. It is with a considerable degree of pride then that we have found our work prominently featured in Marvin Shanken's "Cigar Aficionado" new pictorial book, "The Art of The Cigar".

Since starting working on our Classic Tabletop model and our "Little Guy" pocket cutter we have made small lots of a number of different wood species.  Most of these proved too difficult to work with for general production, but a few of these woods have yielded extraordinary results and have been made in small lots for limited production.

Cocobolo

Cocobolo is a hard, dense and slightly oily tropical wood.  It is heavily figured with reddish, purple, dark brown and black streaks.  This fine grained oily wood polishes to a beautiful and durable sheen. It is available in our Classic Rotary Tabletop and "Little Guy" pocket models.

Birds Eye Maple and Curley Maple

Bird's eye and curley figure occurs primarily in hard maple and results from a series of small conical distortions in the tree's annual growth rings.  Experts debate the source of these interesting imperfections, but the result is a pattern of concentric circles that resemble a bird's eye. Available in Classic and Pocket models.
